How to deactivate your Facebook account?
Deactivating your account is much less serious - it simply takes your Facebook account offline so that people cannot search for you but your account remains available to log back into.
If you want to spend some time away from Facebook but don’t want to commit to deleting, deactivating is the best way to go.
Head over to the account menu, either be on the top right of your web browser or on the cog icon on your mobile and click on settings.
Click General in the settings and then Manage your account.
Here you will be able to deactivate your account. Follow the instructions and your account will be taken offline.
You can reactivate your Facebook account at any time by simply logging back in and everything on your profile will be as you left it.
